All our food is seasonal, where possible, locally sourced and homemade and can therefore take a little longer to prepare than the alternative “ping food”!  Rest assured we will do our very best to serve you as quickly as possible.

All our dishes may contain traces of nuts.  All our fish dishes may contain bones. 

Please ask the waiting staff about any allergens our dishes may contain or contact us in advance to discuss dietary requirements.

All our dishes are prepared to order, on some occasions not all items will be available, we apologise should this occur.

Fish Ragout a selection of prawns, mussels and mixed market fish in a delicious cream & white wine sauce served on a bed of black and white rice


Mallard Ale Sausages & Mash Lincolnshire sausages on a bed of creamed potatoes dressed with a rich red onion gravy (Vegetarian sausages available).


Soup of the Week homemade and served with a hunk of crusty bread.


Grilled Goats Cheese Salad warm goats cheese served on a crouton accompanied by mixed leaves with an olive oil and balsamic dressing and finished with toasted pine nuts.


Cross Keys Burger a ground beef burger served simply in a brioche bun with hand cut chips, a small salad and chef’s coleslaw.


Veggie Stack grilled halloumi cheese, beef tomato, bell pepper, courgette and flat mushroom stacked and drizzled with a creamy blue cheese sauce served with rice.


Fish and Chips a haddock fillet covered in a light lime & chive batter served with hand cut chips and crushed minty peas.


Tagliatelli Carbonara smoked bacon, mushrooms and onions in a creamy carbonara sauce served on a bed of tagliatelli finished with grated Parmesan cheese (take out the bacon for a vegetarian option).

Chef’s Honey Roasted Ham with a free range egg and hand cut chips

Classic Sausage & Mash Mallard Ale sausages, creamy mash and a red onion gravy (V available).

Ploughman’s Lunch a selection of cheeses and ham with pickles, apple, celery and crusty bread.

Free Range Omelette with your choice of filling from cheese, ham, tomato, bacon or mushroom with salad and chips (V available).

Chicken Chasseur a rich red wine sauce with tender chicken breast and diced vegetables served with creamy mashed potato.

Cross Keys Brunch free range egg, Lincolnshire sausage, smoked bacon, mushroom, beans and tomato (V available).

Vegetarian Pasta Carbonara mushrooms and onions in a creamy carbonara sauce served on a bed of tagliatelli pasta (V).

Smoked Haddock a fillet of smoked haddock topped with cheese and tomato served with new potatoes and today’s vegetables.


Sticky Toffee Pudding with toffee sauce and caramel ice cream.

Nougat Glace.

A selection of sandwiches are available on wholemeal, farmhouse or Ciabatta bread.  All served with a handful of twice fried chips and small salad garnish.  Ask the staff for this weeks offer.
